  • I already used the free tool and its excellent. My one adsense site that is left has lots of youtube videos that I use to enhance content.

    Here is a funny thing that happened. Before panda and Penguin I had a hundred dollars from adsense and decided to do an experiment just using the Seo services in Secockpit for a site to see if I could get page 1 on Google. I did either three or four rounds using this service. It is right at this moment on page 1 position number nine. It just kept moving up in Google and has increased another position this week. My other sites which I use Backlink Battleplan on are not in the top hundred positions in the Google. This happened after Penguin. My take on this is that nobody understands Penguin as what I did was use blog networks only and target one keyword only and I am still on the first page of Google and moving up. Just an observation.

    Shane, I knew you liked Wistia, but you hadn’t mentioned that YT whacked you. Oh boy. I have a slew of vids on there. And yep, I have been worried. Thank goodness I have all the original stuff as a backup if I get splatted.

    Doing anything with G is like riding the back of the tiger, isn’t it?

    I was thinking the other day. Ok, so we’re all bellyaching about our difficulties. Stop and think a minute about the business folks we’re trying to promote. That’s REAL money. That G would undertake to do what they are doing, considering the far flung implications is mind boggling.

    Even more mind boggling is that only of a few of us in our IM circles seem to see what’s happening. I doubt it will ever make the general news.

    Playing it forward the inevitable end result is that millions of folks are going to be paying even MORE for stuff as advertisers are nudged into going with higher priced paid ads. Everything from iPads to eggs will go up a few cents and we won’t even notice. You heard it here first!

    In the meantime, my one and probably only ever WSO launched last week to blahness. Whatever it could have done was offset because I didn’t work to secure folks with mailing lists to give it that critical launch boost. The whole process has been a huge learning experience that I’ll prolly never capitalize on. It has been fun, though. That ought to be worth something.

    Next up, my super strange SEO project that nobody has ever tried. I don’t expect much, but wouldn’t it be nice to finally hit that vein of gold? Ha! Could happen. Like, what else have I got to do? I’m 56, in a bum economy, and they aren’t hiring greeters at Walmart right now. Thank God that I have my IM experience.

    As always Shane, thanks for being the shiny point of the spear of knowledge. If you didn’t exist, I’d sit down and invent you!
