I loved your video about Ryann Diess! I am an old customer of his and I have,long since, stopped paying attention to anything he promotes.
I found you through another trusted internet marketer(Andy Williams). His is one of the very few newsletters I allow into my inbox. I’m happy to add you as well.
Backlink Battleplan has been an answer to a prayer. This is the one task on my list that continued to be pushed further and further down the list, even though I knew how crucial it was to my marketing. It pains me to think about how much valuable time I’ve wasted. But now I can get down to business knowing there is hope for my sites.

Is the traffic/links product you talked about in this video different than Backlink Battleplan or am I just getting this relatively late (story of my life … lol) since I just recently joined your list and BLBP …

Nope the one I’m referring to is a different one. It’s about how to build you own network of high-Pagerank sites and get backlinks from those (without Google knowing the sites all belong to you). Very sneaky stuff.

I would not call your AMT rant video “Guru Bashing”.
The term Guru Bashing implies that you are bashing someone/something because of emotional reasons, eg: jealously, envy, personality clash etc.
While your rant certainly had emotion in it, the core facts aren’t affected.
I have a feeling that the tide may have turned (albeit slowly) against the spammy/dishonest types of products that have been proliferating recently. Let’s hope so.
BTW, take some insect repellent next time :-)

Although I might be affected my your “”new reply policy” which then should make me kind of sad and feel like being neglected by you I still love and appreciate your straight forward style of marketing.
Keep doing what you are doing the way you are doing it! It sets you apart from all those life-less marketers who only try to suck money from our pockets.
Your stuff is of an extreme value and the more people are going to realize exactly that the less time you´ll have to keep up the personal 1 on 1 connection – logically. To leverage this time shortage with more webinars from your side is greatly appreciated – as long as you keep them within a suitable time schedule for us Europeans :-)

the AMT video was great and right on the money. I think you put something into motion which will actually change things in IM quite a bit and for the better.
Mike Filsaime just wrote an open letter to his JV partners which you can google or find the link on FB. In that letter he talks about things he will not do anymore, what type of offers he will not promote anymore, etc. And I think that letter is in large part, because of 2 things: one a blog post by Jason Fladlien – Stay away from these products (can be found on 48 hour report) and your AMT video.
I think a lot of these IM GURUs lost a huge amount of subscribers during last weeks AMT launch, because of all the junk they have been promoting. In the case of Mike Filsaime I find it actually quite funny, because he has been whor..g this type of stuff out almost everyday for many years. But marketing wise it is a smart move on his behalf trying to salvage his reputation or what is left of it. And most other affiliates/gurus are jumping on the bandwagon as one can see on the comments left to his open letter.

Well, Guru-Bashing is a dirty job, but someone has to do it, right?
I just wanted to add one other thing about the video regarding Auto Mass Traffic. I have a standing rule: I NEVER buy anything on ClickBank off the first sales page. Close it down, not once but as many times as it takes until you finally are released from the ‘sales funnel.’
Many times you will see substantial discounts for the newest, shiniest tools/programs/scams.
Did you realize there are NINE pop-ups when you try to close down that piece of crap sales page? Overkill or what? (My popup blocker prevents anymore after the $10 discount and the last-gasp attempt to send me the freebie.) but here is the video proof (from another of the ‘good guys’ – I hope you don’t take offense Shane I am sorta promoting another one not afraid to point out the ridiculous.)

Horrible Marketers that lie, make other professionals in the field look bad. Calling them out is a very good thing to do, imo.

Man, I had my wallet out ready to buy when you said you had a get rich quick secret!! Good video. I agree with Peter that I feel you are not guru bashing either. I think it would be a good idea to take some of these offers and do a in depth report on them. Weed out the bad ones from the legit offers. Here`s to ya.
There are many newbies that get taken by this type of marketing and there is a place for videos such as the youtube vid you put out. It may be “guru bashing” however, actually it’s more like “product bashing” kind of like Consumer Reports, put out a great product and the reviews will be great, put out a sh***y product & the reviews won’t be so great.
I unsubscribed from all “gurus” lists a year ago and honestly did not know about all these “big launches” from this point on and do not want to know.
The only source of new IM information I left is Warrior Forum (War Room), which I can afford to attend once a month only.
BTW, this is how I found your BBP offer and got on your list :)
I have handful number of IM names I get emails from including yours. The selection wan’t easy but it was very useful to do.
You know what is my criteria to keep somebody on my “receiving list”:
1. his honesty
2. the importance of me and my interest as a customer over the money he can make on me

It’s not easy working out who to trust in the “guru” field. If it were not for you I’d find it difficult to decide who’s emails to unsubscribe. I feel I can do it to almost the lot of them now.

After two years continually trying to learn SEO myself, I came across Shane and his arsenal of information which has been far and away the easiest to follow and most effective for my sites.
