I bought a plugin that does that 2 weeks ago, 26 bucks i think. I hope i had waited a bit more…
I think I know which one. Crazy timing. We were two days into developing Social Essentials, when I got the first email about that one. I could hardly believe it, when I saw that.

Is this like Social Metrics Pro by Daniel Tan? If so what do you think makes your better and what does it do that his doesn’t? I only ask because I am just learning the other one and planning on adding it to all my clients sites. I believe in you and know your the man so I dont ask to be rude just to find out directly. I also know others will be asking the exact same thing so I think if you answer it now and here it will save you the time to answering it later when others think of it. Thanks and keep it coming!

I have not used Social Metrics Pro, so I can’t say what the differences are.
Social Essentials is a free plugin and it will remain free, so there are limits to the amount and complexity of features we’ll be including. With the other one being a paid product, they certainly have a larger budget to work with, so I’m sure they can make theirs the better plugin if they really want to.
If you can tell me the awesomest thing that it does, I can tell you whether Social Essentials does that too or whether it’s likely that it ever will. :)
I find that you have zero respect for customers being I have been told for over a year now that you will update Ghost URL when you get time and you have failed to do so yet you find the time to launch a new plugin.
When do you plan on updating Ghost URL because I can’t use it as it is. It links every instance of your keyword which is a no go.

Ghost URL is a SwissMadeMarketing product and is developed by a completely separate team.

It only does this optionally. Just leave the keyword field blank and insert the link manually, wherever you need it. That should take care of the problem.

My idea for the next plugin…. Develop an auto ditto compliment spinning generator for Shane. It’s getting harder all the time to come up with nifty new ways to say thanks for all you do for your friends and customers.

Now I just spent a lot of time setting up a cool share and follow plugin on my sites. But I’m guessing yours will be better. I haven’t looked yet. I’m afraid too. haha, I have the page open. I will be looking and almost surely replacing what I have.
If it includes follow me stuff as well, it would be nice if it has an export information that can be imported to other sites. :)
