I’m going to embrace that report Shane, I’ve been thinking about developing a product for a while and this will be the motivation I need.
Thank-you too for all the inspiring and extremely helpful info and resources you put up here on IM Impact, they are very much appreciated!
Glen
Hey Glen, all I can say is: do it!
If you follow the advice about minimizing risk and the minimum iteration thing then creating your own product is a decision that there’s no way you’ll regret.
Do it and tell me how it’s going. :)
Hi Shane, I really enjoyed the report. This is something that is very relevant to me as I have been building up to my own launches. I have two products nearing completion, and plan to give my list a lower early bird price when I launch.
I have also been list building, swapping and buying solo ads in the background as I have been getting prepared to launch these products.
Awesome stuff, Chris!
I hope you got some good pointers from the report. Good luck with the launch(es)!
Hi Shane, thank you very much for the amazon gift card prize! This is my first time winning an online prize.
I skimmed your report and it’s really great information for launching a product. But my problem is I’m new in IM and I still don’t know what product should I make. My focus now is in affiliate marketing and adsense sites. I will have to have my own product asap.
Once again, thank you very much for the amazon gift card and the ‘6 figure business in 6 weeks’ report. :)

Congrats on winning! :)
Creating your own product isn’t necessarily something you need to rush. However, if you’re anything like me, you’ll like it a lot better than building niche sites.
How many ways can I say that I love you????? If only I had found you 4 years ago when I tried to put my nutrition business online, I’d be in a very different place! I actually ended up moving away from my nutrition business shortly after that first IM class I took because the business model that I was introduced to made me lose credibility with my clients. Next, overwhelm and TMI ensued. Now I’m getting back on track and reading your document makes me feel ready to head back to building a nutrition product for the online world. Is CB still considered the best place to do this? Or would you recommend something else? I know that technically it can be done with DigiResults or JVZoo, but I’m just not sure that’s the right place for this kind of product.
You are so ethical in what you do and so refreshing to read and listen to. Thank you so much for all that you do for us!
Thanks for your comment!
I’m very happy to hear that you like the report so much.
I have zero experience with ClickBank, but I imagine it’s a decent enough place to put your product. What affiliate network you place your product on won’t matter very much, I believe. If you get everything else right, affiliates will promote for you, no matter the network.
Hi Shane,
I just watched the video. LONG! It could have been LONGER and been fine with me. It was awesome. You hit several hot buttons for me. Human nature is fairly universal when it comes to fears.
One point. I “liked” the video and before I could add a comment it went to the page to download the PDF. I don’t know if you can control it but if you want a comment on the like you need a longer delay.
Thanks for the great content.

Hi Rex,
Thanks for your feedback! Glad you liked the video and made it all the way through. :)
And thanks for the comment about the “like” feature. We’re using a plugin for that, but it’s less than perfect… one of the issues is exactly what you describe. Guess we’ll have to build something of our own, if we want it done right.
Thanks Shane, I enjoyed the report.
I’ve had great success with my own product and affiliates sending traffic. That has always been so much easier than trying to generate all the traffic on my own.
Cheers

Really great report. I am not a newbie in IM, but seriously I don’t make lots of money. But after my half an year’s research and testing for my specific niche, I seems found some very great stuff to dig more, which lots of newbie will be very interested in. I already start a plan to make a few more sample sites to test my finding in a little more larger scale. If it works well, I will want to launch an product for it.
Your report give me more confidence to do it. Thanks.
Hi Shane,
you mention this info-box on page 8 of your ebook 6 figure income:
“If you’d like to learn a very simple method you can use to quickly create a free opt- in incentive product, there are some free videos on the topic, here.” –> the linked word here is unfortunately UN-CLICKABLE !!!
Best regards,
Amin
Hi Amin,
Thanks for the heads-up!
First of all, here’s the link.
There seems to be a bug in the document where the link doesn’t work, because it’s inside a text box. Strange. But I’ve found a fix for that, by linking the entire box to the target page. I’ve uploaded the new version of the doc so that future downloaders don’t experience the same issue.
Hi Shane
Will have a look at the report, I joined this funnel from your podcast email but I declined to get the report from Facebook. How cheap am I, not even a like, I just think it is too obvious. If I really wanted it I guess I would have logged in with one of my fake Facebook accounts but could not be bothered to do that.
Anything that says 6 figures in a short time is usually bullshit and even though I like and trust you, it just made me think you had sold your soul.
If you had said it was about product creation (i.e. the How) I might have bothered.
Hope this is helpful!
I see what you mean about the title. It’s not exactly a typical kind of product name for me.
But remember that it was by majority vote. What I think is good is not always necessarily what other people think is good or what works best. That’s why I opted to do a survey about the product name.
I also deliberately don’t mention that it’s about product creation, in the title. The hope is to “catch” some people (particularly beginners) who would usually balk at the idea of creating their own product and hopefully convert them.
With product creation, I’ve encountered more excuses and “but I can’t do that” type statement than with any other business model.
On the other hand, you could use the title to filter out people who aren’t already interested in product creation. Don’t know which option would be better, in the end.
Sorry to put this on these comments Shane but I don’t know how else I can get an answer to my problem. I have a support ticket (Ticket ID #15132) dated 24 October which is 6 days ago and am still awaiting a reply.. I am sorry to say this is the second time that I have dealt with your support and the service is exactly the same – non existent. I sent a reminder on Oct 27 which has also been ignored.
I have been a subscriber and customer for a long time but this support(?) system leaves a lot to be desired and, a far as I am concerned, is damaging your good and well earned reputation.
Kind regards
Hello Joe,
Thanks for the heads up. Very sorry about the missed ticket. I sent a reply today.
We’re actually looking into moving to a new helpdesk solution at the moment, since we’ve had some issues with tickets going lost or never coming through in the first place, with the current solution. We’re hoping to address that with a better solution.
Hi Joe,
Shane’s going to get back to you personally about this.
We hadn’t seen your support ticket because it was for Backlink Battleplan – the last copy of which was sold sometime last year because we took the product off sale.
At a certain point we stopped getting support requests in the Backlink Battleplan department and the nature of our current helpdesk is such that you have to manually click through to each of the departments to find the tickets (ie. there’s no one central place where we can see all tickets for all departments). Because of this, your request slipped under the radar.
Rest assured that our approach to support is superior to the poor experience you’ve had and we apologise for your understandable frustration!
As I said, Shane’s going to answer this personally – just wanted to reassure you that your support request wasn’t deliberately ignored, but an oversight.
Edit to add: I forgot to mention, we are currently looking into an alternative helpdesk solution for the reason stated above and for some deliverability issues that have been reported.
Shane, the first time I became acquainted with you was through backlink battle plan. It was very well done and your approach to everything in that product is commendable.
Thank you very much!
