I would like to see a niche site build from scratch…
Hi! I would like to see Steps in creating content for a Video Email marketing campaign to build a list.
Good to see what Paul looks like and his commitment to developing software.
BTW, I’ve been very impressed with the level of support I’ve received for some issues I was having with Hybrid Connect.
Also, I like the addition of the bloopers at the end of the video. I get the impression a lot of people think you do all your videos in one take without any edits. This shows them that you’re human :-)
Hi Shane – I would to see a case study on building a piece of software from scratch. Or having it built for you.
I love that little end bit, it was awesome!
My idea for your next series would be creating a niche site from scratch to ranking and making money.
Great Sunday update as always.
I’d love to see you build a niche site from scratch
Although it might go over a few weeks, how about if you do make a site from scratch, also show how you include the autoresponder and create the follow up email series. Even, or actually especially, if bits are outsourced. More for the process and the thinking behind the creation than the fine detail involved at each stage. There are You Tube or Aweber (or whoever) video’s to show the fine step by step detail but although they show that process, often that does not show how it fits into the rest of the puzzle or why it should be done.
In other words, outline everything from idea to bank and the thinking behind it
Like the outtakes and Paul didn’t mention R.T. once.
I too would like to see a niche site built from scratch. Preferably one that is intended to grow into an authority site.
Case study on building an email list would be great.
Thanks for the Sunday update.
Regards
Stanley
Just wanted to drop in and say good on you boys – love the bloopers reminds me when Paul and I did videos – took forever (LOL)
Keep up the great work and when you get even more famous don’t forget about us little people.
Cheers
Leo
Is there a problem with the ViralQuiz plugin? I’m using it without any problems.
My vote goes for list building.
You guys are cute.
Not with the plugin itself, just with the development of all the new features, so no worries about the current (pre launched) version. :)
It would be nice to see you build a niche site from scratch without using any of the automation tools and set up the sales funnel if applicable.
G’day Shane and Paul,
Without doubt I think a case study on “List Building” would be of benefit to the majority . Where would you be without a list of any kind?
Thanks for the “out-takes” just proves nobody is “perfect” no matter how hard they try!
Cheers ,
Norman Holden
I would also love to see a niche authority built step by step. Firstly show us a blueprint/mindmap of the process explaining each stage. Think of it like baking a chocolate cake – picture of the end result on the box (blueprint), gather the resources and utensils required (domain name, hosting, autoresponder, software tools etc) and step by step instructions (recipe). As a Newbie, I might finally understand it. At the moment, I am totally confused about the whole process ie what order are they supposed to happen. I’m just looking for an efficient process that can be repeated without all the IM guru BS. Show us fr.ee tools and compare it with your own tools (which we have purchased but not used!). I want to finally “get it”. This could be done via video lessons on a members site for those of us who have purchased your products (a loyalty reward). Next would be List Building and getting traffic from various sources – social media etc. I really need a credible experienced guide who cares. I hope that’s you Shane.
I vote for email marketing case study too !!
Hi there,
I’m a customer of Hybrid Connect WP Plugin.
How do we get notified of new versions / upgrades? WP doesn’t seem to notify you like other plugins – whats going wrong there?
Thanks,
Dale.
Same question here :)
The WP notifications only work for plugins that are in the WordPress repository and those are all free plugins.
I send out notifications about updates via email, although I didn’t send a separate email for each update, as they were coming in so quickly.
The rate of updates is expected to slow down, so in the future, you will be notified of every new update via email.
We could probably also try adding a dashboard notification thingy, but I’ll have to see how much effort that would be.
Shane,
Some of my “premium” plugins notify of updates and can be updated directly from the WordPress admin, just like the free ones in the WP repository.
Something you could investigate?

Building a niche site seems popular and I will add to that.
Hello Shane & Paul, thanks for the out-takes, great addition :)
I would like suggestion creating an authority site and backlinking, more specifically Amazon, as that is always a challenge.
You are doing great work , as always: That’s why you are my favourite IM guy!
Best regards
Srdjan
Hello Shane & Paul
My vote is for SEO and how to get a site ranked in a post panda environment.
Best Regards
Robert
Hi Lads,
Great to see the realism of the workings behind the machine albeit just for the shits and giggles… My suggestion for a case study would be firstly as a knee-jerk reaction scream of show me a niche site build from scratch.. but really after the panda slap and the penguin follow-up sting what it comes down to is creating, building and nurturing a list. Therefore It would be beneficial to see the real-time erosion of membership drop-off’s, uplift and replenishment of the members of the list, inbox metrics like open rates, bounce backs,click-thrus and spam filters and what sort of metrics are involved to using a auto responder to form something of a benchmark figure which can be found to act as a guidance on what sort of resilience a list truly does have. Niche planners, builders and blueprints are available from all the snake-oil gurus and really if you are a real-life marketer the majority of these ‘masterplans’ are little more than regurgitated basic principles of marketing sprinkled with some SEO terminology and packaged in a project manager function. With SE Cockpit as the no-brainer niche site builder I believe the next step is the list build, nurturing and analysis.
Sorry for the long post but felt I needed to fly the flag for the real world marketing folks who do this for their living.
PS: Looking buff lads in black tops (maybe need to lay off the creatine shakes..lol only joking)
I’d love to see you build a niche site from scratch, starting from -3. In other words under the assumption “for Dummys”
What would take in a lot of the suggestions above is,
(1) plan and build a niche site
(2) develop it into an authority site
(3) then build a list for it
:-)
Alex
Hi Shane.. and the ‘new’ guy!
Really enjoyed your video, especially the hilarious out-takes at the end… including the numerous expletives!
Not sure what I’d most like to see as a case-study, since so much has apparently changed post Panda/Penguin.
So in fact perhaps because of the big changes, maybe a how-to on tackling/increasing traffic and ranking in this new landscape and what techniques and tactics work best.
John
My vote would go to planning a plugin/app development.
Hi Shane et Paul
Liked the Bloopers!
The question you did not answer is where you have been skiing, or are you trying to get around panda by imitating one!!
What I want to see is an update to your backlink battleplan or just a video that goes over what is and is no longer valid.
Rather than Niche walkthough I would be interested in the Outline of the processes you recommend, then what might be fun is for 5 for 10 of us to each to our own new site concurrently, following your procedures, then see what results we get. We would tell you the site names but not publish them, just refer to them as site1, site2 etc.
I already have niche sites and until they recover from Panda and Penguin, I see little sense in building another. My sites went from earning $100/day in 2011 in AdSense and affiliate sales to $10/day in 2012 because of falling rankings and the resulting traffic losses. A case study on how to recover a site from Panda and Penguin is what I’d like to see, something the marketing gurus are quiet about in providing proofs that it’s even possible and persist in carrying on as though all is good. Anyway, that’s my focus now – Panda and Penguin recovery. I don’t see any sense in building more niche sites only to have them picked off by Google’s next cutesy animal.
Forget niche sites, build something more valuable and long-term. Build an authority website in a non-IM niche that earns at least 6 figures. This will of course take more time but I feel would be much more value than a bunch of niche websites that really don’t add much value to the end users.
:-) Like the out takes.
Building an email list sounds a brilliant case study to me Shane and Paul – many thanks
Carl :)
