Plus, here are the recordings of the webinars I mentioned in the video:

Let me know in the comments if you are in on my “mini-challenge”.

Cheers,

  • I’m in on the mini-challenge. I think it’s a great motivator. I had just started viewing the 100k Blueprint videos when your Sunday email arrived. So this is perfecting timing.

I wouldn’t worry about the extra call to action. It really was a “housekeeping” matter that needed to be addressed.

As always, thanks for all you do.

    Olivia

    • Cool, glad you are joining! Wanna bet that my AdSense site is going to be more mediocre than yours? ;)

Btw, just as a general side-note: I’m not saying anyone has to reveal their sites for this challenge. I won’t, either.

      • Hey! No one tops my mediocrity. The gauntlet has been thrown down.

      • I’m already behind because I never downloaded the 100k Blueprint manual. I knew something was missing. LOL

      • Ouch, I feel gauntleted…

The blandness of my content will make yours look like shakespearean prose! There, I said it!

  • Hi Shane.

I assume you are going to write up a full report of your trials and tribulations with changing your autoresponder.

I notice that Sendpepper is more expensive than aweber. Do you think that extra price is justified? I’ve never heard of them before, so I don’t really know what sort of reputation they have.

    Cheers

    Peter

    • Whether SendPepper and especially OfficeAutopilot is worth it, depends very much on what you need an autoresponder for.

I will be writing about this extensively and creating some kind of report or article, as I think it’s something that needs to be addressed and no one ever mentions these details.

  • I’m in Shane. I am doing keyword research now and should have a site up by next Sunday.

  • By the way, I meant to ask, who are you using for auto responders now? You said that you left Aweber, but you didn’t say who you went with.

    • OfficeAutopilot. The autoresponder part is all good, but I also want to use them for product delivery, payment processing and all that. Problem is that those features are brand-new and still in beta and that’s why the transition has been so slow. I decided to make the switch too soon, but I can’t switch back halfway through, either. That’s why I’m in the current, not-at-all-optimal situation and i really just need to wait for the development of the new OA features to get to a fully working stage.

As mentioned above, I have some very strong reasons for switching from Aweber to OfficeAutopilot, but it’s definitely not a solution for everyone. I’ll have some interesting stuff to share, once the dust has cleared. Interesting for geeky types, anyway. ;)

      • We geeks need to know NOW, even if it’s just hypothetical.

  • Hey Shane,

Thanks for another cool Sunday update.

I´m in on the mini-challenge as well. I´ve already started to build a first adsense site on Friday and I´ve chosen a peculiar niche in the German market – that´s going to be fun to see, whether the “techniques” will work in this market as well. The webinar with Mike and Adam has definitely broadened my view on the adsense topic and I really find this a superb addon for my other IM projects.

I´m also definitely going to build another adsense site for the English speaking market and have started some keyword research for that second site already. Opportunities are everywhere but half-decent domain names seem to be very rare. So I need to spend some more time investigating and digging further.

Have an awesome week and don´t forget to get your affiliate program running again!!!

    Mirko

    • Cool! The German market could turn out to be a real treasure trove – I’d love to hear how that goes for you.

I certainly haven’t forgotten about the new affiliate program. Really sorry that it’s taking so long.

  • Hi Shane,

I loved the webinar however i didn’t buy into the product. I have been a member of the keyword academy in the past. Now i have found that there were also a set of instructional videos with the course. This i must have missed, i didn’t realise there were also videos.

I would love to know what the reviews of the product are. How have the ones who bought it found it to be. I have however been considering finally making a push on my adsense sites. So i will watch with great interest to the weekly updates.

I also think that with the SEO skills your BBP customers have will give the adsense sites a great edge and postitive effect towards success.

    Chris.

    • Hey Chris,

You’ll find a few more comments on the Blueprint below.
However, you can join in on the challenge without the Blueprint as well, if you want. It’s mainly about actually getting something done and creating a new site, as a foundation.

  • Hi Shane,

I am in … well actually I already have a couple of sites with Adsense as the secondary monetization method (list building was first) though they are seasonally themed. Since I missed the webinar, I guess I should watch it eh :) … then create a new site following their model.

    Best always,

    Jim

    • Sounds good! Yes, give the webinar a look and see if it covers what you already do with AdSense. Maybe there’s some cool new gems in there for you as well. :)

  • Hi Shane!
I think I will have a site up until next Sunday, as I am wading through keyword research for the last few days. :) So, count me in.
I am still very happy with the blueprint, because it is clearly describing how to do all the steps. The bonus we got when buying at the end of the webinar turns out to be invaluable, as every detail can be discussed in this friendly community.

I would be very interested, how Mirko will get on with the German market.

    Thanks for the update,
    Ellen

    • Awesome! Glad to hear that the forum delivers great value as well.

    • Hey Ellen,

I´ll keep you and the crowd updated on my German market adsense experience. The site is up and running already and it is the most ugliest site I ever created :-)

Here is a link for you to check it out – work in progress of course:
      http://xn--schlsseldienstmnchen-secl.org/

The link has this “funny” look because I´m using some letters in the domain that you only find in German. The actual domain is http://schlüsseldienstmünchen.org/

I´m not quite sure whether it was a good idea to use this kind of domain name as I´m already experiencing some difficulties e.g. when trying to do rss-submissions.

Good look with your own adsense site!

      Mirko

      • Nice one! Since when are umlauts even possible in URLs? I clearly haven’t kept up to date, but I remember that a few years ago, this simply wasn’t an option.

      • @Shane

Umlaute are pretty new as part of a domain but as I said, I´m not sure whether it was a good idea to use it. It remains to be seen. I´ll keep everyone posted on my experiences with it.

        Talk soon

        Mirko

  • Hi Shane, I just wanted to say for Chris’s benefit, I bought the course – I am really pleased with it. The WordPress Theme that is part of the course is excellent and Adam was very helpful when I had problems installing it on a site that I had just started and already had content on. The videos were also helpful. The course book repays very careful reading – the temptation is to skim over stuff you think you know and don’t need to read but I am glad I didn’t skip anything as there are some great tips in there!

  • Hi Shane,

Thanks for the Sunday update, it’s good to see a shortist one lol. I’ve been getting your emails ok, tho sometimes twice. I’ve been thinking about your user engagement as well, your email click through rate must be 10 -20 percent right??

I’ve also been intrigued (and slightly amused) to follow your real life example of the growing pains of moving websites and auto-responders etc. It’s cool that you’re becoming a different beast (so to speak).

    I’m in on the challenge.

    Regards

    Samith

    • Getting e-mails twice is one of the problems with Aweber. I have many lists in Aweber, all in the IM niche, all for my various free and not-free products. Problem is, if you sign up for several of them and use two different e-mail addresses, you’ll get the broadcast e-mails twice…

Click-throughs vary a lot. For things like product updates, they can approach 100% sometimes. On general broadcasts, something between 20% and 35% is usually the case. However, that’s another thing about Aweber: The CTR you see in your account aren’t real. You have to look at the detailed stats where you’ll find that the unique clicks are much lower and what you see on the dashboard, wich percentage numbers, are actually the total clicks and total opens.

  • Good….now I see a reason.

There are several emails from me waiting for you to respond and some for SECockpit

    Please, please?

    No more said.

    Peter

  • Forgot to say….as you may recall,I have hundreds of Adsense sites so I shall watch the replay to see if I can improve on the current results.

    Peter

    • Well, you’re way ahead of most of us on the challenge, then. :)

  • Count me in on the challenge, I was doing keyword research when I saw your Sunday video pop into my inbox, I really need to get more disciplined and concentrate on one thing at once, keyword research not checking email and watching video.

Now I have a time limit and a goal to reach I know I will get it done.

I have also updated the contact information so I am now on 3 of your email lists.

    Sean

    • Hi Sean,
      Sorry for distracting you. :)

Good to have you in on the challenge!

  • Hi Shane

Thanks for the Sunday update, when doing your research for product launches did you look at Optimize Press? it seems to offer a lot for $97 Dollars

Have opted into your new auto responder, Thanks for sharing Tony

    • Hi Tony,
Yep, I’ve bought pretty much every single one of these types of landing-page/sales-page themes for WordPress and in my opinion, OptimizePress is currently the best one.

They now even have a membership module that you can link up to systems like DAP, for product delivery. It’s very simple, but it’s a good feature for product creators.

  • HI Shane…Challenge is underway and hopefully will proceed through the week. I got luck and found the main group keyword as a diamond in Secockpit…so there’s a bonus.

    What is your new autoresponder?

    G

    • Nice!
The new AR is OfficeAutopilot. I’ll be reporting on why I chose it in detail, sometime soon.

  • I’m a new subscriber who recently bought Backlinks Battleplan and now the Adsense Blueprint.

Positive thoughts – I’ve been doing Adsense sites for a while with only moderate success so I found the content of the Webinar very interesting and certainly made me think hard about the methods I’ve used. I will definitely implement the Blueprint.

Negative thoughts – I looked carefully at the two example sites in the pdf Blueprint i.e. Nursing and CNA Training. The figures did not appear to match what was said by Mike.
If I heard correctly he said he only works from ‘exact match’ data and keywords producing a minimum of ‘80 searches’ per day. The illustration in the pdf [page 21] shows ‘broad match’ figures. Using the Google Keyword Tool, the domain keyword phrase ‘Nursing School Programs’ indicates an exact match figure of 320 which equates to about 5 clicks per day on the No.1 spot. The site was at No.2 for ‘Nursing School Programs’ but I couldn’t find it on the first 3 pages of Google for the next two keywords listed.

Whilst the CNA Training site was either No.1 or 2 for the three keyword phrases listed the Google exact match monthly figures were 170, 720 and 590 respectively.

I would be very interested in hearing Mike’s explanation.

    Regards,

    John

  • Hi Shane,

Me, too. I’m in for the challenge. It is great to see a lot of people here that are so motivated to take on this challenge.

I think we should have some kind of “success story” sharing topic sometime in early 2011 to see how everyone has been doing and what dos and don’ts we have found.

    Hope

    • Excellent! Yes, seeing as there have been so many enjoying the webinar and taking up this mini-challenge, I think it’s a good idea to follow up.
I’ll certainly be reporting on how my own AdSense projects get along. :)

  • I’m definitely in for the Adesense challenge. I already bought your Backlink Battle plan and it helped me lot to achieve my current goals. I have not engaged in Adsesne in much and this is a somewhat new experience to me. Thanks for your valuable FREE information Shane

  • Hi Shane,

I’ll join in this little mini-challenge as well. It might be just what I need to take action and stay focused.

    Regards,

    Tony

    • Very good! That’s what I needed this challenge for as well, by the way. It has become much too easy for me to busy myself with non-SEO work all day. That other stuff is important too, but I don’t want to abandon all my sites and SEO projects, so a bit more focus can always help.

  • Hi shane,

Is the offer for the adsense blueprint over now. I clicked on the link and its not working

    • Hi Adam,
The links are all working for me. I think there was a spot of downtime at some point, so maybe just try again?

  • I’m in Shane. It’s funny because that was kind of my goal anyways so this challenge works out perfect. The webinar was great and the ebook is insightful as well.

  • I am in for the mini-challenge Shane. I have been half-hardheartedly doing some keyword research for an adsense site, and I keep getting myself confused. So I think something like this will be good for me, to help me focus.

  • Funny timing this. After a lot of hard work with dismal CTR and earnings I was pretty much ready to pull adsense off my sites and rework them as standard affiliate sites…

The seminar was so good I gave my adsense another month or so. I’ve switched to their adsense theme and we’ll see!

I haven’t seen anything in the Blueprint any different from any other adsense course so I’m not sure how I’m going to step up my adsense earnings. I’ll contact them and see if I get any useful feedback.

Perhaps my content isn’t mediocre enough? eek!

I’ll look forward to your revelations about aweber too. I’m on the verge of switching to them!

    :-)

    All The Best

    Alex

  • Hi Shane,

I am excited about this challenge. You certainly have revived my dreams with adsense throught the webinar and the 100kadsense.

I have a big vision in mind with adsense but since I am doing SEO projects, I’ve been putting it off. But at the back of my mind, I knew there is a huge potential with adsense. Now this a100k blueprint has just made everything clear inside my head giving me an exact plan in mind what to do.

So, thanks Shane. Definitely count me in with this challenge. It’s good to be a part of a big challenge. Makes me push myself to really do it and be motivated instead of doing it all alone.

    Jay

    • Yeah, I greatly underestimated the potential of AdSense myself, to be honest.
So, let’s get this challenge rocking and build some sites!

(for the record: I’ve been spending all day working on videos and a particular sales-funnel. no adsense sites… but the pressure is now definitely on!)

  • Hello Shane,
Ok, so I dawdled a bit. I have an excuse. Several actually. I’d say most of them qualify as pretty good ones. Never go with only one excuse, I say. Always have backups.
However, I did do my research, buy a domain, and toss up a site. It’s sitting there ready for content. But, I’m thinking. Should I work on that today, or work on my Backlinks Battleplan stuff for some of my other sites, and then whip out some good arkles for the new site? I think I’m going to do BLBP and then worry with the new site. Yeah.
Shane, you said at one point that you are good at ranking but could use a few more conversions. I’m in the same boat. If someone could come up with a device to program the customer to go ahead and make the dang purchase after I deliver them to the vendor…now that would be a good thing.
Therefore, perhaps more concentration on Adsense which, while not as lucrative as sales conversions is guaranteed money when someone clicks may be the answer. The way I look at it, the 100K Adsense thing is a refinement of stuff many of us have already been doing. I’ll know in time. In the meantime, I had cause to drop by their forum to ask a question and they were VERY responsive. This is a good thing! You choose your offers well, Shane.
    Norm

    • Now that’s good advice, right there! Backup excuses… brilliant! :D

I know how you feel, in terms of “what should I do first”? I get sidetracked so often, I don’t even know where the main road was heading to, anymore…

Also: glad to hear that the forum is so lively. :)

  • Shane:
Don’t worry about it. Mistakes happen. Plus, “stuff” happens too. Thanks for putting up the Adsense Blueprint and the Impact Marketing webinar too.

    Best,
    Glenn

  • Hi Shane,

I am in for the challenge. My site is almost complete with just three more articles to be written.

For what it’s worth, I was struggling with the keyword research until I decided to by Micro Niche Finder. Worked great for me.

Also, thanks for getting the extra bonus of getting access to the Forum. I have found a lot of extra insight from Micheal and Adam and the other members of the Forum.

Will let you know how it goes.

    • Good to hear! Congrats on already having the site up and running as well. :)

  • Hi Shane

I’m already well into the challenge and thank you for bringing it to us all. I’ve dabbled in Adsense in the past but in a half-hearted and untutored way believing that it couldn’t earn mre than a few bucks at best…… Now I know different and what’s more, the Adsense Blueprint is so easy to follow and understand, I’m only a day away from launching my first site! The Adsense optimised template makes it so simple to get up and running and there’s a small but active forum for Blueprint-ers that’s full of great tips, lots of support and Michael & Adam must sleep with their laptops next to their beds as they are always there to answer questions……

    Bring on the Challenge!

    • Cool! I’ll have an update and a “part 2” for the challenge, soon. :)

  • Hi Shane

Just wondering why you chose officeautopilot over infusionsoft?

    Best,
    Welly

    • Hi Welly,

Yes, I went with OfficeAutopilot. In terms of features and pricing, I think they are very similar. I like the OA interface better and another big plus is that support, and the entire team for that matter, have been very responsive.
Another big plus for OfficeAutopilot is that they have the entry-level solution with SendPepper. For people starting out, it makes a lot of sense to start with SendPepper and later seamlessly upgrade to OfficeAutopilot, if they want and need a “hardcore” solution like that. Much better than starting out with a different autoresponder and then having to switch over.

The only downside to OfficeAutopilot/SendPepper is that they are not as well integrated as Aweber. Aweber is compatible with every shopping cart, membership script, plugin etc. that I’ve ever seen. The same isn’t true for SendPepper, although I hope that will change, in time.
