  • Hi Shane,
You know what’s so bad about your videos? They always make me realise the weekend is really over ;-)

It’s good to hear you are not going to make an all-in-one theme. Even though I would love to own one. But I guess you are right. It’s better to be very good at 1 thing than to be average in a lot of things.

Anyway, you got me very curious for things to come…

    • That’s exactly it, yes. Anything that claims to be good at a dozen things is immediately suspect…

  • You don’t want to wet our appetite?…

    TOO Late!

Shane, I’ve stopped buying from people just because I’m a fan. But, I always take extra time considering YOUR offers.

    • Damn, sorry about that. :)
Well, I’ll hurry up with the Theme project.

  • This is a good example of when not to create a product that appears to be wanted by the market.

    Great business thinking, Shane!

I’m looking forward to installing WP Sharely on my site. But, I still can’t get the new version of Hybrid Connect to work with my WooTheme. I’ll post a support ticket.

I’d like to send big kudos to the support group at Hybrid Connect.
Paul, John and Randal. These guys will not give up until your problem is completely solved. I’ve dealt with other marketers who leave you hanging and make you regret you ever bought their software.
You guys show that you really care to help. Thanks.

    Michael

    • Thanks, Michael! Glad to know that you’ve received the excellent support that we aim to provide. :)

    • Thanks Michael, I’m glad you’re happy with the product and service!

  • When you do a view-source I can see the previously locked URL’s for the discounts?

So I expect this is a failing of all content-lockers!? Kind of defeats the object.

    • No you can use ajax to load the hidden content…this is an option in wp sharely.

  • Shane,
Thanks for the review. I appreciate your insights, however, at some point I’d like to see your thoughts on marketing and selling “Non” software or WP related things (e.g. travel, sports, etc.). Just curious about how you’d approach a different market.

Also I’d be interested in seeing your thoughts on why you have selected your autoresponder verses others.

    • Hi Kent,

That’s something we’ll definitely also cover, in the future.

However, please keep in mind that nothing I write about is specific to software or specific to marketing related products. The example in this video is something from my own business, but it’s meant to illustrate a principle. I hope you can take away something useful from it, no matter what market you are in. So the answer is: for the most part, I’d approach a different market following the exact same principles.

  • Hi Shane,

Is the strap line “EXTRAORDINARY MARKETING” below IM>Impact on the last screen of your video part of your thinking on USP? Seems to be a newish feature….. Are you going to add it to the Masthead of your webpages – and if not, why not?

Just a thought…. Oh, and I like it!

So much of your material is going into the development of my next business – thanks, keep it coming…

    Michael

    • Yes and no. The USP is usually not expressed in a tag-line, but the tag-line might hint at it. That’s the case here, as well.
I’m currently working on some homepage tests, to see what will work best and that will inform some of the messaging for the rest of the site as well.
