Question of the week:

Do you know of any original, interesting SEO tools I should review?

Please note that I cannot review everything suggested (although I will consider each suggestion) and that I cannot complete reviews over night. SEO takes time, so any review of an SEO product will also take some time before I can come to any useful conclusions.

PayPal merchants, click here to see the review I mentioned in the video.

All the best,

Please leave a comment below.

Note that I don’t reply to all comments, but I do read them all. If I don’t reply to your comment, it most likely means that I agree with what you say and don’t have anything meaningful to add, myself. I appreciate and read all comments and your comments play an important part in what I write about, so keep them coming.

Spammy comments are always filtered or removed. No surprise there.

  • Hi Shane,

    Long time no see.
    How are you?

I think I have an idea for a review:

    http://elitelinknetwork.com/writer-va/

Looks promising. Kinda reminds yours and Sam’s new link building service, only this one is monthly.

Hope you’d give it a thought.

    Cheers,
    Yoav

    • Hi Yoav,
Thanks for the suggestion! Does look like an interesting service, for sure!
What I’m worried about is that they say it’ll be sold out soon. Of course, that might just be a scarcity-tactic, but due to the nature of the service I can imagine that we’d have another “review done – offer closed” situation. I’ll consider it, though.

  • Hi Shane

Make a review about No Hands SEO a very discussed software in forums.

  • Yes, I 2nd elitelinknetwork.com in general. It looks similar to Build My Rank except they do allow spun content but insist you include a photo or video with each post.

    Cheers

  • Have you reviewed http://www.linkemperor.com/ yet. Someone recommended it to me this week and the video and site looks fantastic. I would really appreciate your expert opinion. Thanks for your review of BMR. Of all the services I’ve ever used it’s the only one that has delivered noticeable results.

    • This looks like quite the service. I’ll take a closer look at it. :)

  • I used elitelinknetwork writer va service but cancelled the service after a few weeks. Only reason being that i wasn’t too comfortable with the quality of the content the VA’s were writing and putting out there. Didn’t really want it associated with my site in the long run. It was pretty poor but i suppose i couldn’t expect too much for the price.

There was no problem with getting a refund and apart from this the service was well run.

  • Hans Jurgen says:

I would find it quite interesting if you checked out Keyword Advantage, found in Niche Profit Classroom. Now this is a paid membership but the software tools in it I found outstanding. Would like to know what your thoughts are and is this something you would consider?

Good to see you back, always enjoyed early morning Sundays with you.

    Hans Jurgen

  • linxboss is a solution to consider or linkvana

  • Could you place all your reviews in one spot. So they are easily found and accessible. Instead of hunting for them. Table of Contents with a link to the review would be wonderful. Then all we need is the TC. Then add any new reviews to the master TC.

  • Hey Shane–
hope not too off-topic, but what do you think of seo for facebook? I googled it and it just has lots of items saying it’s a good idea–any programs that have been developed?
Along similar lines–do you think fb pages will replace regular websites?
or is it always important to have both?
(I haven’t taken the dive yet into fb yet myself, still looking for some easy templates for fb pages that don’t tie you into a membership program for their main functions to work)
thanks a bunch for any insights!
    Rik

    • Hi Rik,

I don’t think that SEO for fb pages (with the goal of ranking the fb page) makes a lot of sense, especially with the custom pages being iframes.
However, marketing on facebook and optimizing your fb pages and posts for maximum impact does make a lot of sense. Facebook can be a great traffic source and although I’m not much of a social media person myself, I can’t deny it’s potential. Facebook is a great way to keep in touch with fans/customers/prospects and it’s great to have both a website and an fb page, if you have time to manage them both.
As for fb pages replacing websites: no way.

  • Just came across No Hands SEO yesterday, it does sound quite interesting, although I’m always a little dubious about fully automated systems.

BTW, we signed up for AutoTrafficBuddy this week, and the OTO is membership of the “closed” Traffic Kaboom!

Fingers crossed that your big announcement is the automated version of Backlink Battleplan! :-D

  • “Fingers crossed that your big announcement is the automated version of Backlink Battleplan! :-D”

    O yes, I second that!

    :-)

  • HI Shane..

what about a sister product to Traffic Kaboom, “Auto-Traffic Buddy”…..
As you mention, Traffic Kaboom is currently closed… I registered as an interested user, should slots become available.. and they recommended I try ‘ATB’ in the meantime…..

    What do you think?

    regards
    Paul

  • Hi Shane,

I just starting using ATB. It’s to early to tell but seems so far like a great unique SEO product. I got into “TK” last year and it has done wonders for my SEO.
Can’t wait to see your reviews.

    John

  • Hi Shane, how about a review of Scrapejet, from the same developers as scrapebox, am hearing some great things about this tool.

  • Hi Shane,
Can you review http://www.postlinks.com, which is a service were you can pick the PR to post your article to, or blog comments and contextual links.

    John

  • HI Shane,
For those of us with a leaning towards offline local marketing there are a number of tools around that give reports on various aspects…they are all quite expensive and do different things. It would be interesting to look at comparisons and where thier strengths lie butI get the feeling it would be a BIIG project.

I second the vote for an automated BLB….cannot wait to see what you have been up to. Call it the swiss army knife of backlinking…with a tool for getting gems out of horses hoofs….lol

    Gordon

  • Morning Shane,

I would love to see you review a couple of things, one is SEO based and the others are not, hope that’s ok.

The seo based tool is called ‘bookmark lovers’ and is an automated wordpress plugin that is being offered on the WF at the moment that is supposed to help rankings through the use of social media.

I would also love to see you do a comparison review on a tool called ‘nichereaper’ against a tool called IMEye by Steve Clayton with the included ‘domains on fire module’, as although secockpit is a fantastic tool these are more niche/ opportunity finding specific, which I would guess would benefit everyone in the IM game.

    Cheers.

  • Hi Shane –

I just wanted to mention that I was one of the beta testers on Auto Traffic Buddy and can say that it is an outstanding system. It took us a couple of months to get everything as streamlined as it is today, but well worth the effort. This is without doubt one of the best (and most secure) products I have came across in this field and I can also testify that the team behind ATB are very professional and total SEO/traffic “addicts”. They test EVERYTHING! ;o)

    Kindest regards,
    Chris

P.S. – To anyone considering Traffic Kaboom / ATB, I would say go for it. I’m sure you will NOT be disappointed. If I’m wrong there’s always the money-back guarantee…

  • I was told of Link-Emperor a while back but haven’t tried it yet. So would be good to get your opinion on that, seems really interesting. Its not cheap though!

There was mention on WF that some of the sites their third-parties use were suspect though… meaning of an unethical nature.

I was debating how it might work for offline-client sites. Maybe not so well if the onpage stuff was not well done? Or the backlinks were from unsavoury sites!

    John

    • My gut reaction is that it’s not the right thing for offline clients. From what I can tell (and this is before I’ve signed up), it really is focused on getting some links to lots and lots of long-tail-keyword focused pages. It seems to be made for niche marketers and many of the links are built via spam.

  • I had a youtube video on my website, but it was declared to be private. I have attempted to get permission to download others, but no one has answered my request. Do you have a suggestion?

    • This is someone else’s video on YouTube, right? In that case, there’s not much you can do about it. The video uploader is free to make his videos private and/or non-embeddable.

  • Dear Shane,
Thanks for looking out for all of us with your reviews.
I would like you to check out SEO Link Robot and SEO Link Robot Lite,
which is a newly developed SEO program. Appreciate your expertise.

  • Got two services I’d be interested in what you thought about them. SYNND being one. And Auto Traffic Buddy being the other.

    • You can find my SYNND review here.
The service didn’t impress me, but what was worse was the weird way in which I was treated by the SYNND staff, both before and after the review. Check the comments for a taste…

  • Backlinks Indexer. Someone did a test at the WF of the various backlinks services and reported that BI performed the best.

  • Hey Shane

Just got an email about a new blog network service that looks worthy of testing out. Check it out here http://highprsociety.com

I am going to test them myself, but may be a good case study for everyone

  • Hi Shane,

There’s a new blog network called seodestiny. It’s be great to hear your thoughts about it.

About those writerva services (first comment), I use one of them. The good thing about a service like that is that they use Senuke, and access to a lot of blog networks already, each individually would cost you a fortune.

The bad thing is their English isn’t great, and the articles they write usually of very low quality and when spun is even worse. What I do is hire another writer to supply them with articles that read decently.

    Cheers,

    Ben Wan
