Note that I don’t reply to all comments, but I do read them all. If I don’t reply to your comment, it most likely means that I agree with what you say and don’t have anything meaningful to add, myself. I appreciate and read all comments and your comments play an important part in what I write about, so keep them coming.

  • great video as always! Are you doing an official release for hybrid connect?

I was also wondering why you took “The Simple Income System” off the market. I am really interested in the instant commissions portion of that product. That is also why I’m interested in the release of hybrid connect.

    • Hi Tom,

SIS was no longer relevant, after a Google update, so we stopped selling it. It was really just a mini traffic-experiment to begin with.
Hybrid Connect will be made available on an instant commission network as soon as possible. Unfortunately, we have some technical issues to sort out first.

  • I greatly value your review posts, Shane, especially in the roundup or comparison format. Possible topics that I would appreciate seeing you cover would be WordPress plugins, autoresponder email marketing providers, social media tools such as automaters (Hootsuite, IFTTT, etc.), and, if you explore WordPress theme frameworks, I hope you can include Ultimatum and Builder in your review as well as Headway, which you mentioned. Perhaps these more complex drag-and-drop frameworks deserve a separate review of their own.

    • Hi Phil,

Thank you for the suggestions! I’ve been playing around with Hootsuite and a few other social media tools and plan to make a review of those sometime soon.
Thanks for listing some of the WordPress themes, as well, as I’m not that familiar with them yet.

      • I am also wanted a review for Ultimatum theme so that it helps people to choose good and unknown theme. It is a great theme and it is just one year old but the way things handle by this theme impressed me much. I purchased the Thesis 2.0 but i take the refund after purchasing Ultimatum theme.

      • Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll check it out.

  • Hey Shane,

Your marketing themes review was top notch, as usual. I know you say you’re used to the negative stuff from product owners that get their feelings hurt, but I feel like giving you a pat on the back anyway, and telling you to keep up the good work. I, for one, am here because of your honesty and your willingness to say what you think, even if it means you ruffle some feathers sometimes.

As for products to review, I am preparing to start making my own videos (better late than never) and have the necessary software (Camtasia, Powerpoint, etc.) but I don’t have a quality microphone/headset. Have you considered doing reviews of physical products? I’d love to hear you thoughts on good microphones for making videos.

Also a list of your favorite plugins would be nice. Being a WordPress geek, I always like to hear what other people are using and why.

    Regards,
    TJ Greene

    • Thank you for the pat on the back. Much appreciated. :)

I haven’t considered testing physical products and I’m not sure if it’s a good idea to branch out that far from the core marketing topic.

What I can say is that I’m using a Rhode Podcaster mic and it’s very good. Not the cheapest, but not in the crazy high-end price bracket either.

  • Shane Loved The Theme reviews these Reviews are good for Consumers as Well Product Owners. The Product Owners get to See How there Product is Perceived by an Outside Source and When They Channel Their Energy into perfecting The Product and Maybe its Just a Question of Improving The training Videos so Others Realize Some features are already There, but They Didn’t Know How to make Use of Them.Happy Holiday Season to All!

  • Shane I really found the WordPress marketing themes comparison/roundup very informative. As a Newbie this is valuable. We can waste so much money and time buying and learning the inappropriate products. Everyone who has an opinion is biased by definition. Giving both the pros and cons makes it balanced though. Further, you did not hit us with an affiliate links like so many other people giving so called “reviews”. They are not reviews – they are product pitches. So thank you for your integrity. My suggestions for your next comparison would be autoresponders (AR) and back office platforms such as AWeber, Get Response, MailChimp, Infusionsoft, OfficeAutopilot (in particular), 1Shoppingcart etc. These are important parts of IM business framework. These are significant long term investments so I want to make the appropriate choice based on the opinion of a experienced person I respect. I look forward to it.

    • Ah, you got me!

That’s the “very cool” thing I was alluding to: a roundup review of autoresponder services.
It will probably take some time to complete all the testing, but I’m hoping the results will be very valuable.

  • Hi Shane,

I appreciate your reviews. Especially after the Google updates. Having a effective critical product review from someone like yourself can really be informative.

As far as product reviews, I would like to see a review on some effective link building services, post the Google updates.

Here is a product I recently bought. I would like to get your opinion/review on this if possible, ” Web Content Studio, http://webcontentstudio.com/ “. This product helps you theme your article to optimize for keyword phrases.

    Keep up the good work,
    Regards
    Stanley

    • Thanks for the suggestion!
Link building services are always a bit difficult to review, but I’ll see what I can do.

    • Hi Shane,

Just wanted to let you know the link in the above comment is not an affiliate link.

      Regards
      Stanley

  • Web Content Studio harvests the top pages of Google for your keyword phrase and then lists the most popular phrases to help you theme your article this is based around LSI which Dr. Andy has been advocating for a long time.

  • My suggestion will be a bit different.

I’ll appreciate if you can include the “localization” feature of the products as well…meaning how flexible(customizable) the product is if your online business is not in English.

For example, I had very hard time finding a good shopping cart(payment processor) which would meet my localization needs. Almost all shopping carts do not allow you customize your order page so you can’t really change the text fields to your language or customize the order confirmation email.

I know that this might not be valuable information for everybody but for some of us this is a huge decision factor when choosing a product.

    To add my input on your review from the “localization” point of view;
OP use cufon fonts so some text characters don’t display and also graphics can’t be customized for your language(I think currently they have some language packs though). InstaBuilder is a good product in that sense. Most graphics are css based so you can change any text on the graphics as you like. Those 2 are what I have so I can’t talk for others.

    • Hi Chazzler,

That’s a very interesting suggestion! You’re right that many products don’t have localization options and are essentially “English-only”. I’ll take this into account for future reviews.
