Thanks for watching!

  • Hope you feel better Shane.

The way that the viewer benefits from clicking the like buttons is that they share high quality information with their readers which helps their readers to consider them valuable contributors rather than just Internet Marketers trying to make a buck.

Want my cough medecine affiliate link Shane? LOL

  • It’s definitely going around. I’ve been sick in bed all week too. And I’m going back as soon as I finish this comment.

Glad you’re feeling better. Looking forward to recovering, myself.

  • Glad you’re feeling better, Shane. Sorry you had to go through that but sometimes our bodies give in around the holidays as that is when we finally let our guard down and try and relax a bit. If you start to feel icky again take lots of olive leaf extract – it’s a natural antibiotic and it really works!

  • Hey Shane glad to hear you are feeling better, take care of yourself!
PS Just to mention that at the end of the video where the screen goes black – it still says Sunday Update by RichQuickReview – just in case you didn’t know as I know what a perfectionist you are!
Looking forward to great things in 2011 and to seeing how your Facebook adventure develops.

    • Thanks, Alison!
That’s because the video above is playing through Youtube and my Youtube channel still has the old name. Can’t rename it (at least, not that I know of). I don’t want to start a new channel either, because this one already has over 100 videos on it as well as quite a few subscribers etc. So, I’ll probably have to live with this small imperfection for the YT videos. :)
I might go back to using my own video player for the Sunday videos. Running a small experiement with YouTube at the moment, that’s why I’m using their player.

  • Hello Shane,
I guess you caught the Swedish Flu? It hasn’t made its way to Cowchip/AL yet.

The fact is that this past nearly two years I have tried everything there is to try. I have been successful in everything but conversions..which is what it’s all about the last time I heard. Breaking even isn’t success.

Well, of all of it, though, Facebook is still a mystery. Yes, I have like three or four accounts, but it takes someone smarter than me to do anything useful with them…like mebbe a preteen? They understand it completely.

By way of making a public statement to sort of put me in a place I can’t back out of, I have made up my mind to ditch most of my affiliate stuff. It just hasn’t worked. Sigh.

You have to know when to fold the cards. The occasional nuggets don’t make up for the unending pans of dirt I have sifted in pursuit of the elusive vein of IM gold. The one good thing about my detour is that I learned a university’s worth about IM, in all of its forms. I feel real good about that.

What spurred me to take IM action in the first place was that I HATE cold calls. Knocking on doors, and offering to make pages for food got very tiresome. But, let’s face it…It was making money at a faster clip than what I have been doing lately. Doing everything right and still not clicking. Jeez.

A lot of water has gone under the bridge in the last couple of years with me and the page making industry. Every year with us is about twenty for everyone else, you know. I believe that in the meantime much better ideas, plans, and schemes to work the “offline” trades, as they call it have come along.

So, I’m going to go back to the drawing board, and reinvigorate my local super site. I still have a few local customers on there. It’s time to get off my buttocks and get back to what was working…only better and smarter…with less dang cold calls.

I have always known and shown that locally targeted pages are way easier to rank for than anything else. I was ranking effortlessly for local stuff before I even knew what SEO meant.

And now, I have one thing the competition does not… Backlinks Battleplan.

Actually, outside the good old boys country club network, there is no competition here. So I think I’ll relaunch my 12-14 hour a day efforts here locally. Can’t hurt. If it works, mebbe one day I’ll launch my own WSO, tell how I did it, and be famous and rich and own some of that beachfront property somewhere along the Tallapoosa river here in Alabama.
    Norm

    • Whoa, Norm, that sounds a bit bleak.
If you’re good at “everything but conversions”, I think you could do great with pretty much anything online. Why? Because all you need to do is team up with someone who’s good at conversions. If you do the SEO and drive the traffic and they make sure to turn that traffic into conversion, you’ll be the dream team!

Believe me, there are lots of folks out there who know how to write copy and do split-testing, but can’t get visitors to their sites. Traffic is one of the biggest problems for many IM’ers.

On the other hand, doing the offline thing can also be super lucrative. Outsource the repetitive stuff, outsource the lead-gen, rank for some relevant keywords to get constant lead flow,… “pages for food” can be turned into serious money as well, no doubt.

Just don’t start thinking small. ;)

  • HI Shane, I can’t see the Like button. Where is it. Cheers, Andreas

    • Hi Andreas,

It’s only on blog posts, not on pages. This here is kind of a secret page, anyway, exclusive to my subscribers. :)

  • Hi Shane

Hopefully you’ll get a chance to respond to my e mail from the 27th now that your back in circulation

As always thanks for the post Tony
