Best WordPress Plugin for Creating Tables

This post is just a quick and well deserved shout-out to Tobias Bäthge, the creator of the WP Table Reloaded plugin. I’ve just implemented this plugin for my Internet marketing product reviews page.  That’s the page where I keep an overview of all the products I’ve reviewed so far. Before I used WP Table Reloaded, that table always looked a bit messy, and keeping it up to date was a hassle. If you go check it out now, you’ll see that it’s very tidy and neat looking and it’s now very easy for me to edit and update.  The tables WP Table Reloaded creates can even be made sortable and searchable.

I don’t really want to go in-depth on this, so let me just say: if you use or want to use any kind of tables on a WordPress site, do yourself a favour and get the plugin.

  • I’m using wp-Table at the moment, which is OK for simple purposes, but looks like I’ll definitely need to give WP Table Reloaded a go.

Can you export tables from WP-Table? Because in WP Table Reloaded, you can import them. Would make the transition very painless. :)

  • I installed WP-Table-Reloaded and checked the import facility. To my surprise, it recognised all the WP-Table definitions I had and I was able to easily import them.

    Very impressive plugin.

The only thing I didn’t like was that you had to specify custom CSS to change the colours. WP-Table had a simple option to change the colours and I’m not sure why WP-Table-Reloaded doesn’t have the same option, given there are menus for just about everything else.

You can see the table I was working on at:

Unfortunately the theme I’m using overrides some of the CSS, so it doesn’t look as good as it could. I’m looking at changing my theme soon anyway.

Very cool! Looks good enough to me, by the way! :)

Great table, too. There are quite a few high-PR directories in there that I didn’t know about before. Definitely going to update the list in my article submitter accordingly.

This post is helpful to me. I always had troubles with creating tables that wouldnt break my theme because most themes really dont have a nice stylesheets in terms of table properties.

I would definitely look into your suggestions.

      Hi Melvin,

I’m glad you found something useful, here. :)
      Thanks for commenting!

      Cheers,
