If you want people to pay attention to you, it helps to be an expert.
But as you know, becoming an expert takes time. You must amass knowledge, apply it and then develop a strong record of practical success before the internet will consider you an authority.
It’s hard to shortcut that process, but today we’re going to look at a business that managed to do just that.
The internet isn’t the wild frontier it used to be.
When it comes to selling products online these days, customers expect a premium checkout experience and your local tax office gets upset when it doesn’t receive its cut of the action.
That means your payment process, digital product delivery system, and tax collection methods are now crucial to doing good online business. Basically, you can’t risk half-assing them anymore.
All this is to say that simply slapping a “buy button” on your sales page and calling it a day probably won’t turn out well for your online business in the long run.
It's a simple and straight forward question - and one that is asked often: how to make money from a blog?
In today's post, I give my usual style of unconventional and strategic answer to this question.
By the end of it, you may not be swimming in passive income, but you'll have a perspective that allows you to see through a lot of marketing talk around the topics of blogging and passive income.Continue reading
How long have you been in the Internet marketing game? Can you remember what it was like when you first started out? For me, it wasn’t too long ago that I was completely oblivious to this whole “make money online” world. I already had experience with offline businesses and I even had two ecommerce/online shop sites, but I was totally clueless about everything that relates to Internet marketing as we know it. I didn’t know the first thing about search engines, I didn’t know about blogging or WordPress, I didn’t know how to create a website or even a simple web-page, I didn’t know about hosting and domains and affiliate programs or anything like that.
As I was thinking abou this, I decided to make a video containing as much useful and essential information about making money online as possible, aimed at a complete beginner (basically me, a year ago). I wanted to keep it short and to the point (attention spans are short, these days), so there could only be a very limited amount of information in the video. I had to cut it down to what I believe are the most important things a newbie needs to hear.
Here’s the result and I’d love to know what you think about it:
Another “big launch” is upon us and so it’s time for another installment of Guru Popcorn! This time around, Mike Filsaime and Chris Farrell are going to woo us with four videos and then ask for $2.000 (probably). What’s the product? AffiliateDotCom is apparently what they’re going to name it. Which is weird. Since Filsaime is the self-proclaimed “software-as-a-service” guy, I’m actually wondering whether this really is going to be a $2.000 info product or whether it’s going to be some type of membership or service. Would be a nice change for sure.
If you have no idea what I’m talking about, watch the first AffiliateDotCom video here and then watch my (brilliant) analysis of it below.
Otherwise, watch my brilliant analysis right away:
Today’s post is a very special one, because it is the first in a series of interviews with Internet marketing experts from many different fields of expertise like SEO, PPC, social media etc.
My first guest is Gary Gregory from Google Sniper Keywords. He is probably the most experienced Google Sniper out there, with over 100 sniper sites under his belt. In the interview, we talk about some of the most common difficulties people have when they start out with online marketing, find out what Gary’s manual and training is all about and learn why it pays off to be stubborn, in this business.
Below, you can find the download link as well as the straming player for listening to the interview. Enjoy![audio:https://activegrowth.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/GaryFinal.mp3|titles=Gary Gregory Interview]
For my first product review, I chose Confessions of a Lazy Super Affiliate by Chris Rempel. In this article, you will find my in-depth analysis of this ebook and learn everything you need to know to decide whether it’s worth trying for you or not. Read on for all the details.
Affiliate marketing is probably the number one thing that most internet marketers do to make money. As you might have already read in the RQR Glossary, affiliate marketing comes down to promoting and selling someone else’s products in exchange for commissions for every sale made. In this RQR Basics article, you’ll find a more in-depth explanation of what affiliate marketing is and how to get into it.
Affiliate marketing is an attractive business model, although the real reasons for this are rarely stated. They tend to get drowned out by all the hype. Contrary to what your average sales-pitch would have you believe, affiliate marketing isn’t super-easy and it very rarely, if ever, makes anyone rich over night. It also involves actual work, actual investments and actual effort. Just like a “real” business. Go figure. In spite of all this, there are still many reasons to love affiliate marketing. The foremost can be summarized in just one word: Scalability.
Update: Wow, you came all the way back to my very first post! These days, not many visitors venture this far into the depths for the blog.
You’re seeing this website after its second rebranding. It started out as “RichQuickReview”, a blog with the purpose of reviewing online marketing and “how to make money” type products. I soon noticed that those products were generally rubbish and I wasn’t very interested in them anyway, so the site became im impact. This is where I reviewed various online marketing tools, wrote about my experiences with SEO, product creation and building my own businesses. Work on those businesses soon took over all my time and posting on im impact became infrequent. Next, the site was revived as ActiveGrowth, with a team of people helping me to bring back the value that the site used to bring to the community through in-depth reviews and behind-the-scenes reports from growing our businesses.
I believe that you can learn a lot from watching someone else’s process, which is why you’ll find my original welcome post below (as well as all of my old posts, no matter how cringe-worthy they seem now).
Hello and welcome to this website! The central purpose of this blog is to provide honest, thorough and objective reviews of online marketing related products. Often, these products are presented as “get-rich-quick” opportunities and they come in many shapes and sizes. Sometimes as a simple ebook, sometimes as a complex, huge system containing video-courses, reading-material, software, special-privilege forums and personal coaching. Sometimes you’ll see peripheral get-rich-quick material sold for very particular purposes: a piece of software for finding profitable keywords, design-templates for high-conversion sales-pages or a guide on how to write attention-grabbing Google-ads, perhaps.
What you will be hard-pressed to find, however, is reliable information on whether these products are any good or not. This is a void that my site is here to fill.
