WP Enlighten Review

WP Enlighten is, as far as I can tell, the new and improved version of a product previously called WP Sales Engine.

It’s a WordPress plugin which lets you turn any page on a WordPress site into a sales-page, including various options for adding styled boxes, order buttons, testimonials and videos.

Here’s a quick video tour, to show you exactly what it’s like to use this plugin.

EasyVideoSuite Review

In 2010, I published a review of Easy Video Player 2.  Since most of the other so-called reviews for this product online were just promotional hype-fests and mine actually pointed out some flaws in the software, the post was a bit controversial.

The “sequel” to EVP2 has just generated a lot of buzz with a big launch and I’m already getting questions about it, so I decided I should publish a review of EasyVideoSuite as well. As usual, what you’ll find here is not my participation in the launch of the product. It’s an actual review, not an advertisement.

With that said, let’s get right to it.

WordPress Visitor Feedback Plugins

A marketing lesson that can’t be repeated too often is that you always need to focus on your customer’s or prospect’s wants and needs. Who are they? What are they looking for? What are their issues? What are their goals? The more insights of this kind you have, the better and more focused you can make your marketing efforts.

In this review, you’ll find a comparison of six different WordPress plugins that are all designed to help you get feedback from your website visitors. The six candidates are: smartFeedback, ninety Feedback Plugin, Creative Feedback Form, Usernoise Pro, Avia Feedback Box and TotalFeedback.

No-Hands SEO Review

No-Hands SEO is a desktop-based Windows program that promises to take all of the work out of search engine optimization. It’s supposed to do so by automating the backlink building or “off-page” part of SEO. Beyond that, it’s not all that clear what exactly the software does, if the sales-page is all you have to go by.

Read this review to see what this product is all about and to learn whether or not it’s worth investing in.

BuildMyRank Review

NOTE: In case you are finding this post now, be aware that link networks like BuildMyRank have been rendered ineffective as a link building method. All the data and results in this review come from testing done long before Google “slapped” this link building method. While this review is positive, because BMR was great at the time, it has now unfortunately become obsolete.

BuildMyRank is what might be described as a “high-PR blog network” in the style of LinkVana. What you get with “usual” blog networks is the ability to post spun articles to potentially hundreds of (mostly low-quality) blogs. With BuildMyRank, you write unique posts with your links inside them and each post gets submitted to only one single blog.

This may seem like a really bad deal, at first glance, but the key is that a system like BuildMyRank puts the emphasis on quality rather than quantity: BMR only has blogs with pagerank (ranging from PR1 to PR6) in their network and they make an effort to get every single post indexed.

Is it worth the trouble writing unique posts (or outsourcing the task) or should you stick to more automated link-building solutions? Read on to find out.

Blog Network Roundup Review

Blog Network Roundup Review

Blog networks are among my favorite sources for targeted link-building. There’s no other way in which you can so easily get in-content, anchor-text backlinks from a whole lot of websites all over the Internet.

The question is: which ones of the many available networks should you join? Which ones are worth the investment and which ones should you avoid? And of course, the most important question: which networks provide the most and best backlinks?

That’s what we’re going to find out in this roundup review.

Update: I am keeping this article on the blog for the sake of posterity, but please note that this review is from 2011. Blog networks like the ones tested here are no longer a viable or recommended link building strategy.

Putler Review

PayPal can be a blessing and a curse, in more ways than one. Anyone who accepts PayPal payments for their business knows that, on the one hand, it’s fantastic to be able to use such a simple and widely accepted form of online payments without much hassle and without any setup fees. On the other hand, most PayPal vendors have to deal with nightmarish issues like frozen accounts, impossible customer support and bad complaint handling at some point or another.

Even at the best of times, one of the most grating things about PayPal is their impossibly sluggish website. It can take minutes (and feel like it’s taking hours) to get from the login page to the detailed view of one specific transaction. This is a problem that Putler, a desktop-based PayPal management app, attempts to solve. And it brings a few other perks along with it.

SYNND Review

SYNND can perhaps be described as a “collaborative social promotion” tool. It’s purpose is to drive traffic and (allegedly) increase your search engine rankings, but the way it achieves this is quite different from the way many of the well-known automated link building tools go about it.

Does SYNND really help you get more traffic to your site and is it worth the investment? Read the review to find out.

Link-Building Software: Roundup Review

Take a look around at a few blogs and discussion forums about SEO and you’ll quickly find many recommendations for some backlink building automation tool or another. It’s clear that if you’re looking to get websites ranked systematically, you should be using either software automation or outsourcing to help along the way. While many link-building tools have been discussed an recommended in great detail, individually, the question that remains is: how do they actually compare to each other? Out of all the options, which product is the best one to use?

In this roundup review, that’s the very question we shall aim to answer. Read on to see a complete comparison of Article Marketing Robot, Magic Submitter, Rank Builder 2.0, SEnuke X, SEOLinkRobot, SERPAssist and Sick Submitter.

SEOLinkRobot Review

Building backlinks is a chore. A very necessary chore, if you like to get some Google traffic. SEOLinkRobot joins the ranks of software tools that aim to make backlink building a lot easier and quicker and in this review, we’ll take a close look at how it aims to do so.

Is SEOLR a serious competitor and will it help you get your sites ranked more easily than ever before? Or is it just “yet another” mediocre link-building tool?

Read on to find out.
