Our minds crave variety all the time. We are always in a hurry: we want it all, we want it fast and we want it now. We want to consume new and exciting information as rapidly as possible as we think this is how we make fast progress.
But are we really?
If you've been following the ActiveGrowth podcast, you may have notices that we take a different approach with our content. We go slow. We spend weeks on a single topic, talking for even as long as an hour each week if we need to. Why?
Because "slow down to go fast" is not just an overused cliché.
Before we dive deep into our next big topic, listen to our mixup episode to learn why we take things so much slower and how you can benefit from doing the same.
We all know successful, inspiring people we look up to. And sometimes, we want to be just like them.
What's their secret? Can we be just as successful as they are if we copy what they do?
Yes and no.
While following someone's example and getting inspired by their actions may be a good thing, copying them without filtering can hurt your business. Take it too far and your customers will lose trust and find you unethical.
How to follow someone else's example without crossing the line and still remaining ethical, original and authentic? And how to know what ideas are worth stealing - and what's just a waste of time?
In the newest episode of the ActiveGrowth podcast, we're answering these questions. Listen in!Continue reading

In this episode, we're looking at another massive productivity booster/challenge: sticking to deadlines.
Listen in to discover how you can set deadlines for yourself and ship, without putting the work off until the very last minute.Continue reading
Why is it that each time we face a new, difficult task we need to work on, suddenly even a mediocre Netflix series or our former neighbor's Facebook profile becomes so intriguing we can't resist to check it out?
For many of us, this reaction has become the automatic response to a new task. Even though we know that doing the work will do good to our business, when we're about to get started, some greater power seems to take over control.
Why does it happen and how can we fight it? Can we turn that pull towards distraction off for good?
This is what we're aiming to help you with in the newest episode of the ActiveGrowth podcast. Listen in!Continue reading

In the latest episode of the ActiveGrowth podcast, we're discussing why perfectionism is standing in the way not just of your business but also of growing your skills.
As always, we filled this episode with practical, actionable advice that you can start following right after listening to us!Continue reading

This Monday, we're here with another Mixup podcast episode. The topic for this episode is rarely discussed on the web, yet we find it extremely important: true ownership of your platform and business.
Owning your platform is one of the three main pillars we talk about on ActiveGrowth. We find these three pillars so essential that it's the first thing you can read about on our homepage.
So, what exactly does "owning your platform" mean? And what are the mistakes entrepreneurs make, that leave them with a business they don't truly own? Listen to today's episode to find out!
Last week, as a closure of the ActiveGrowth Podcast launch day, we held a live webinar to answer your questions about the podcast and the topic that we choose for our first three episodes: why you should quit chasing traffic and focus on getting your first customer instead.
Based on all the questions and feedback we got, we decided to record a 4th episode as part of the "Forget Traffic!" series.
We noticed that there's some resistance to the idea of going customer first (even though "get paid sooner!" should be pretty appealing) and we address that in today's episode.
We also walk through several practical examples and case studies on how the customer first approach can work even for the less typical business models.Continue reading
